Howard Brown is the founder and president of Brown & Cohen. “The Howard Brown Effect” is why clients keep coming back for more. If you haven’t experienced his laser sharp counsel, the whirlwind of his vast network and his steel trap memory, you are truly missing out.

Other known (and less known) facts about Howard include:

  • He was the former Director of Marketing for Royal LePage Residential Real Estate Services for Canada.
  • He was the Special Assistant to the Parliamentary Secretary to Canada’s Minister of Regional Economic Expansion and served as the Ontario Policy Chair for the Liberal Party of Canada.
  • He served for six years on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Club of Toronto and has been a long-time Member of the Board of Governors at Toronto’s Mount Sinai Hospital.
  • In 1998, Howard and the former Ontario education minister Tom Wells, were the first two appointees by the city of Toronto to the board of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
  • He has been published in the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, and many other publications including Engineering Dimensions Magazine in which he is a regular contributor and columnist.
  • He was the recipient of both the Canada 125 Governor-General’s Medal and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal for his community service.

Kimberly Cohen is the Chief Executive Officer of Brown & Cohen. The good news is she’s on our side – why? Because we wouldn’t want to be on the other side of a negotiation and she makes sure everyone stays on top of their game.

She has been featured for her expertise by CTV News, Marketing and Strategy magazines and was a guest lecturer at Ryerson University, Centennial College and Humber College.

OTHER KNOWN (AND LESS KNOWN) FACTS ABOUT KIM:

  • She served on the Board of Directors for the Toronto Humane Society, the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business Alumni Association and Big Sisters of Toronto.
  • She was a member of the Toronto Region Board of Trade’s Professional Development & Management Committee and co-chaired a financial forum with Ellen Roseman of the Toronto Star for Toronto Israel Bonds Women’s Division.
  • Before joining Brown & Cohen, she held communications positions at WWDB Talk Radio (an ABC Affiliate) and WPHL TV-17, both in Philadelphia and was a communications and marketing professional for the American Red Cross and the Philadelphia Convention Center.
