This provider of electronic health record technology for the long-term care market revolutionized the way the nursing homes communicate internally and with stakeholders regarding its medical health and financial records. They wanted to raise awareness of the value of their product to the long-term care sector in Canada and the U.S.

• Developed a media relations program both in Canada and the U.S.

• Launched PointClickCare’s new Electronic Medication Administration Record (e-MAR) with news releases that featured the success in nursing homes and the benefit to patients in the long-term care sector. Focused on PointClickCare being the first company to produce a tested e-MAR for mass distribution that integrates, in real-time, patient records and medication administration, doctor’s notes, prescriptions and pharmacy orders.  

• Developed case studies and article placements in target media that focused on the value of a single, accessible, central source of information to help reduce medical errors and increase institutional efficiency.

• Capitalized on the quest by U.S. and Canadian governments to find a solution to electronic health records and commented on progress, barriers and possible solutions.

• Created a series of media releases that focused on new product launches and business partnerships/acquisitions to garner a regular presence in industry media.

• Developed internal blog for the president of the company to update its growing staff on company progress and success. The purpose was to generate internal buzz, streamline corporate messaging and ensure employees regularly heard directly from the president.

• Held regular background discussions with top-tier industry media with senior management to keep them apprised of new industry developments.
